1) Union American Bistro
This American Bistro boasts incredible drink and food options. American classics with a little global influence means your taste buds will love you when they bite into something like the Thai Flatbread. If you’re a little bit more hungry, go for the Union Burger. This incredible little restaurant features an even more incredible Happy Hour as well. Happy Hour is Tuesday through Saturday, 2-6pm in the bar and upper patio. If you go for drinks, we suggest getting the fresh squeezed $3 margarita! If you go for Happy Hour though, go early or be prepared for a small wait. So get your friends or family together and check out Union, located at 3 South Wilcox Street. 2) Old Stone Church
One of the oldest buildings in town now boast the title of being one of the best restaurants in town. Built in 1888, St. Francis of Assisi was the first church in Castle Rock. It hosted a congregation until the 1960’s when the people outgrew the building. In 1975, the Old Stone Church was remodeled and renovated into a restaurant. If you go and enjoy a meal here, you’ll sit where the choir sat or even in the former confessional, which is now a table for two. A seasonal inspired menu means if you go at different times of the year, you will see different items on the menu. The Old Stone Church has an incredible amount of history in the area and now serves the residents as one of the best restaurants in town. 3) VistaVino Modern Grill
Located in the former Uniscali space, VistaVino is an incredible recent addition to the Castle Rock food scene. VistaVino Modern Grill is a favorite for foodies with their menus boasting rich flavors. Some local favorite menu items are Burrata Cheese and their famous Bolognese. A product of two experts in the Denver Metro food industry, this Tuscan inspired restaurant is another hit when it comes to good food and good drinks! VistaVino won OpenTable’s Diner’s Choice Award in 2015.VistaVino’s hours are 5-9pm Tuesday through Thursday and 4-9pm on Friday and Saturday. 4) Augustine Grill
Located in Downtown Castle Rock, this fine dining restaurant is 1900s Victorian home that became Augustine Grill in 1996. This location offers a downtown atmosphere and gives you a chance to explore the historic town before or after you enjoy your meal. Augustine Grill is a great place for a romantic date night. 5) Castle Cafe
Another historic spot in Castle Rock, the Castle Cafe has been a local hotspot since the late 19th century. Once a “Wild West” Hotel and Bar, this local eatery has become the heart of the town over the centuries. Located on the corner of 403 Wilcox, Castle Cafe hosts a variety of menu items but are best known for their “World Famous Pan-Fried Chicken”.
